Resource Cooperatives

Resource co-ops are the backbone of an independent, self-sustaining community. We're building collective infrastructure for food, goods, and energy — cooperatively owned, locally managed, and permanently affordable.

Food & Production Co-ops

  • Community farms open to members to grow and harvest food
  • Processing facilities for preserving, storing, and packaging produce
  • Sliding-scale storefronts for neighborhood access to essentials
  • All profits reinvested into community welfare and operations

Inspired by models in Oakland, Minneapolis, and Puerto Rico, we aim to keep nutrition local and jobs rooted in the community.

Solar Energy Co-op

  • 1–5 MW solar array to power up to 1,000 homes over 5–10 years
  • Cooperatively governed with revenue reinvested in rate relief and expansion
  • Goal: Reduce household electric bills by up to 50%
  • Partnering with schools and municipal buildings for shared infrastructure

Through state and federal grants, we can ensure clean power is owned by the people who use it — not outside investors.

Goals

  • Eliminate food and energy insecurity in underserved neighborhoods
  • Create lasting local jobs in growing, building, and distributing resources
  • Ensure profits and decision-making stay in community hands
